The Seahorse

Hello, hello! Is everybody looking forward to the weekend?  Well, I am! I'm hoping the weather will be good so I can do some garden work!

Today, I'm sharing with you a card I just finished. The stamps are from the BonVoyage Collection.  I colored the image with Distress Ink and Markers. I bought a big bag of seashells and sand  so you'll be seeing quite a bit of these in my summer/beach themed cards. I couldn't find small corals for embellies so I used Martha Stewart's Branch punch (which I think is a must-have for all crafters because you can use it in any card!)

Challenges:

Can you see my little pearl in a clam?

Here's a cluster of seashells  and some corals!

A closer look at the seahorse... I used some paper glaze for the bubbles for dimension and I think it looks pretty neat!
I wanted the background to be "murky" so I just dabbed it with Weathered Wood. I also used Spica pens to highlight the fins, tail, and stripes for the the seahorse. The paper I used was Cosmo Cricket Salt Air and distressed the edges.

Some beach/ocean charms to adorn the little rope that goes around the image.

I hope you like this little seahorse card I made.
Thank you so much for dropping by and visiting my blog.
Have a great day!

Just Magnolia - Edwin with Stolen heart

Ok. I have some exciting news to share!  A couple days ago, I received an email from Bev  from Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge Blog and she offered me a spot as one of the DTs! Wow, it was such a surprise to me. Most of the DTs of Just Magnolia are those who I really look up to and admire for their talent and beautiful creations.
Now, I am so honored to be part of this group of talented ladies.

So my card today is my first DT card for Just Magnolia and our challenge for this week is
 Buttons & Bows.
Come and join us in our challenge!
~*~*~*~*~*~
Edwin with Stolen Heart is colored with Copic markers. I used some waxed cord to wrap around the DP (which I don't know where I got it from...sorry).  I distressed the edges and stained with Frayed Burlap.  I also used a piece of burlap clothe for the tag. For embellishments, some buttons, charms, lace ribbon and WOC flowers, clip & ticket from Tim Holtz to complete the card.

Heart Daisies

My card for today is made with an image from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection from Magnolia called Tilda's Heart Flowers.  And because the image is a flower, I decided not to embellish it with flowers.  Instead, I paired the card with a mini flower arrangement. I colored the image with Copics, embellished it with lace, ribbons and bows, charms and sticky pearls. I also stitched the edges with my sewing machine.

Challenge:
Ribbon Carousel:  Anything Goes
Divas By Design: Buttons and Bows
Scrapalicious: Flower Power

A closer look at the  image.

Tilda with PeonyTails

A beautiful Monday to all! For the last couple days the weather has been so good and so we have been spending a lot of time in the park. Yesterday, my desk was abit lonely because there were lots of garden work waiting for me. Last night, I finally got a chance to finish this card.  I also made a little floral arrangement to go with the card.
I used Magnolia Stamp: Tilda with Peonytails and colored the image with Distress Ink.  All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenge:
Totally Tilda:  Challenge #45 Stitching

This is the inside of the card.  I used the same sketch but used the opposite side of the paper for the layout.

This is the mini floral arrangement  I made to match the card.
