Stempelglede: Mom

Mother's Day is just a few weeks away and I'm trying to get started with my MD cards.
So far, this is my first one. I have a few things in mind for some up coming cards and I hope I can go thru with them. It's been crazy busy as always as...when life gets in the way of crafting.

Anyway, back to my card.  The stamp is from Stempelglede Vintage Garden Collection.  I had this stamp set (and a few other sets) for almost 2 year now and I this is the first time I used this image. I really love this stamp set and this image especially and I 'm really glad I was able to ink this up.

I used Distress Inks to color the image and I stamped it with the same ink pad I use for coloring my Magnolia images.

The paper pad is from Maja Design Vintage Summer Collection. It took me hours to cut these papers...not because my paper trimmer was dull, but I just couldn't find myself to cut such pretty paper. :)

For the word Mom, I layered a few die cuts of the letters to make it look like a chipboard.  Then I topped it with some Crackle Accents.

Some more Crackle Paint for the clay heart on top of the wrinkled seam binding.

Mulberry flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and those berry beads are from my stash.

And the inside of the card is kept simple.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
