Virgo Tilda Frame

 Hello  Friends.
Yesterday, I was going through my mess and trying to cleaning my craft room. And noticed this Tilda frame I had for sometime now.  It didn't have any embellishments on it.  Just the framed image. I thought I needed to add some die cuts but still keep it simple and make Tilda the focal point of the frame.  I used the new butterfly die from the recent DooHickey Club kit and banner from an older collection.

Here's a closer look at Tilda. As always, I color my images with Distress Ink Reinkers.

I don't have a lot of photos on display around the house, but I do have some Tilda's displayed in my craft room and she is one of my favorites.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you again next time.

Have a wonderful week!

Coloring Video: Skin & Hair

Hello, hello!
I'm back with another video! Two videos in a week? I can' believe it myself! LOL
We had a thunderstorm today so I didn't want to go out and run errands.
And I had some images stamped for cards and projects for the next 4 weeks so I thought I'd make a video while I color the skin and hair.  I received just a few requests of a coloring tutorial in the past and I thought I should give it a shot. This is not a tutorial.  I am simply sharing with you how I color with Distress Ink Reinkers. I hope you get inspired! Enjoy the video!

You can also watch the video directly in YouTube.

Please let me know what you think.  I do appreciate all your comments!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Leo TIlda

Hello crafty friends!
It's Friday and I am totally looking forward to the long weekend ahead!
Today, we have a new challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia
Our theme for the next 2 weeks is

CLEAN and SIMPLE

Just as I mentioned in my previous posts, that I am loving CAS cards right now. Simply playing with a few layered borders and just a colored image and minimal embellishments. Here, I have Leo Tilda from the Zodiac Collection.  In this card, I didn't use any embellishments.
I masked out her tail and let her sit on this low fence.  This is one of Magnolias older image. It's a deck with water ripples around which I also masked out.
I got the idea of putting the sun as her background from Zoe's
colored image of Summer Wedding Tilda.  She did an amazing job! I have managed to make a few mistakes...no, several mistakes (LOL) but I tried to fix it as much as I can. In the end, I decided to leave it as it is, and not add insult to injury.

Copics I used.
Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, 0000
Hair: E49, 47, 35, 33, 51
Dress: BG 05, 02, 01, 000
Fence: E49, 29, 27, 25, 23
Grass: G28, YG25, 23, 17, 67 Y19
Sun: Y38, 35, 17, 15, 13
Sky: BG0000, 000
Cheeks: Pink chalk

Here's another view where you can see part of the inside of the card.

Now it's your turn! Link up your creations HERE for a chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!

PS:
Before you go, I'm letting you in on a little secret.  Today May 23, is my birthday. Yup, another year older. I didn't want to do any birthday blog candy because I know some followers would just unfollow as soon as the candy ends. For those of you who are still there and stuck with me, thank you so much for being there, for stopping by my blog and leaving me some lovely comments.

All my life, I have never had a surprise birthday party. Not that I'm asking for one! So I thought, maybe it would be fun to turn it around and give you a surprise instead! So instead of showing a picture of my birthday candy,  it will be a surprise birthday candy.  It will be a goody bag filled with crafting goodies that I love.

All you have to do is leave a comment below. You don't have to post or announce it on your blog.  This is open to all of my followers who read this and to those who will follow and not unfollow when the candy ends. I will randomly choose winners (*hint hint*) from the comments by Sunday night (May 25 12mn EST) and I will be announce and send emails to the winners by Monday!

So if you want a surprise goody bag, just let me know you dropped by! :)

Gemini Tilda

Hello fellow crafters and Magnolia lovers!
I have another birthday card for twins to share with you. This is actually for the same little girls who are turning 8 this week. The first set of same cards that I made last week, I have to give their Aunt and this one is for other kids to sign.

I used Gemini Tilda from the Zodiac Collection. And it's the perfect image for twins celebrating their birthday in May. This is one of my favorite images from the Zodiac Collection. First of all, I'm a Gemini. Secondly, this image is not only perfect for twin girls, but for sisters and even best friends.

Colored with Copics and yes, their dresses are pink...again.  It's their favorite color.
The inside of the card, I made 2 pockets and inserts with their names on the back.

The front side of each insert has the happy birthday sentiment
and the lots of space for the kids to sign.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.I hope to see you again soon!

Pisces Tilda

Happy Monday friends!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I'm finally done cleaning up (I think...), well...the major stuff are out of the way so I can pretty much enjoy my craft desk without see things that are not supposed to be there. Now everything is back to my regular crafting mess.

My card for today features Pisces Tilda from the Zodiac Collection. I colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers.  After a few weeks of making CAS cards, I kinda missed the layered, flower-filled cards. As you can see I added some texture by using  Crackle Accents on the Flourish and the Happy Birthday banner. Some corrugated board, cheese clothe, jute ribbon...and the patterned paper which is from Magnolia is distressed on the edges and painted with antique white acrylic paint.

Here's a closer look at Tilda.

Here are the 4 corners of the card. Just click on the image to enlarge.

And this is the inside of the card.

Last look... so you don't have to scroll back up.

Challenges I want to join:
A Creative Romance: Scrappy Card
Magnolia-licious: Anything Goes
Simply Magnolia: Gorgeous Blooms
Marvelous Magnolia: Anything Goes
Midweek Magnolias: Frame It

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!
