Christmas Calendar #23

Hello Magnolia Friends!

Have you been following the Magnolia Design Team Advent Calendar daily post? I hope so.  Well, today it's my turn to open Shutter #23. Two more days 'til Christmas and the excitement is felt everywhere.

My card for you today features DooHickey Dies from the DooHickey Club Kit Volume 2.  This was the first Christmas DooHickey Club set.  I made it simple and easy and if you have last minute cards to make, this is one quick project that you can whip up in just minutes.

I used Tim Holtz's Core-dination Distress Collection card stock. It's so easy to give a distressed look by just sanding the edges of the paper pieces.

Some corrugated board is always a good accent and texture for your creations.

The sentiment is from the A Lovely Christmas Collection.

I hope you got inspired with my simple card today.  If you want to win a Special Prize from Magnolia, please leave a comment on my Magnolia Blog Post  (not here) and I will pick a winner on
Christmas eve.

Good Luck and thanks for dropping by!

Happy Holidays!

Filofax Planner Pages Sept 13 - Oct 31

Hello Hello!
I have missed you all.  Sorry for  popping up just once in a while.  It's been crazy busy around lately. It's like running around like a headless chicken that constantly bumps into a high speed blender with out it's cover! LOL

Anyway, I have my pages for my Filofax from Sept 13 to Oct 31.  That's a month and a half! I do always take a photo after I decorate the pages and right before I start planning.

All the stamps I used are from StudioL2e.  I don't have any other planner stamps at the moment and to be honest, I'm quiet happy with the planner stamps that I have.  You probably also notice that I used a lot of stickers. Well, I constantly feed a  hungry an army on a daily basis. (The Army being my Hubby and my son) And going to the grocery store is pretty much an activity of daily living.  From Walmart, to Meijer and to Target, they have a pretty good collection of sticko stickers that I can not resist. So I always grab a couple of sheets on every trip.

Month Tilda

Hello Magnolia Fans!
Yes, I'm back! It's been a long time and I apologize for being MIA.  As I said in my previous post...life got in the way and threw me a curve ball! But hey! I'm glad to be back!

My card today features a stamp from the latest Boho Collection from Magnolia. It's called Month Tilda. I colored her a few weeks ago but I didn't get a chance to post the card I made because I wanted the recipient of this card to receive it first.

As always, I colored Tilda using Distress Ink Reinkers.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The DooHickey Dies used are: Flag and Cloud, Tilda Tag, Jolly Tag and Lace Coaster. I used a
Go Kreate  Frilly #5 for the main card.

And of course some lace, seam binding, jute string and some air dry clay hearts to complete the card.

Filofax Planner pages July 5 - August 15

Hello friends!
I hope you are all enjoying your summer break.  I know I've been MIA for a while and I've missed blog land a lot.  I am in the Philippines right now, spending a few weeks with my family. It is no longer summer here but for me it seems like the hot season is  on its peak. It's been 5 years since my last visit here so I had a bit of adjustment in terms of the weather, traffic and the driving.

Planning for this trip started early March.  And because I've been away for a long time, I decided not to bring any crafting stuff in order to focus my time with my brother and really enjoy what I've been missing for 5 years. So, no stamps, no markers, or paints... just my Filofax planner and a few pens came with me.  I decorated my pages weeks before our flight so that I wouldn't have to bring wash tapes and stickers.

So here are my pages from July 5 to August 15
Inserts are from Piaric and planner stamps are from Studio L2e

July 5 - 11

HK Stickers: grocery store
Pen: Uni-Ball Style Fit 0.28mm Pink

I'm hoping to get back to regular blogging mode as soon as get back to Chicago.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Art Journal Video: Cake

Hello  Friends!

I'm sure a lot of you already have the Magnolia DooHickey Club Kit # 5 (Celebration). I've seen several beautiful cards and projects using these lovely dies. Instead of a card,  I'm sharing with you an Art Journal Page I made using the dies in the Celebration  Kit.

Making this page was so much fun and playing with paint and Magnolia Doohickey Dies for Art Journals has recently become my favorite activity.

Here is a photo of the Art Journal page and you can watch the video below to see how I made it.

Here's the video
