Little Tilda Christmas Tag

Have you seen the upcoming collection from Magnolia? It's the "first" collection of Christmas stamps for 2012. The Little Christmas Collection. One of the stamps in this collection is "Little Tilda" and I made a Christmas tag using the image.
I went for a blue and brown color scheme that's why the highlights of her black hair is blue. So, scroll down to see more photos of my tag.

I hope you like my version of a Christmas tag using one of the new images from Magnolia.
Thanks for dropping by!

Tilda with Pencils

Here's another card using an image from the Turning Leaves Collection. This is Tilda with Pencils.  Isn't she just adorable?  I made this for one of my cousins who is the new principal at an academy in Apple Valley, CA.  Octagon is the main shape of this flat card.

I hope you like this care and I will be posting another one later today.  Enjoy your Monday!

Hugs.

Mae

ATS August Release Preview

 Who's ready for school?
Today is Day 1 Preview for the August Release from All That Scraps

I made a crayon box/holder and a note pad using the upcoming images illustrated by
Christine Wooden, owner of All That Scraps.
For my note pad, I used Bauregard Penciland
on the crayon box, I used Beatrice Crayon and School Logos. I also used the Corner Banner Die which is also part of the August Release. Both images were colored with Copics.

OK, I have to admit...coloring their hair was a challenge to me. And I always have issues with hair...not just coloring them but also my own hair. But the inspiration behind their hair is actually mine...when it gets so unbearably manageable! LOL

Now, check out my teammies creations using other images that will be release this week!
And drop again tomorrow for Day 2 Preview!

Tilda's Town: Name your technique

It's Friday once again, time for a new challenge at
Our Theme for this week is: Name your Technique!
It can be masking, distressing, embossing...etc...and for my card I used zigzag stitching.
Explore your creativity and share it with us by joining us this week. Link up your creation and link back to us from your blog post.

For my card, I used Tilda with Carrots (and a couple of radish...) Well, it looked like a couple of radish are in her basket :).  I colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers.

Storage for my Copic Markers

COPIC MARKER STORAGE

For several months, I have been battling whether to buy the Copic carrying case, the stackable block or something else. I've searched for ideas and I actually made a "budget storage" system but I still was not satisfied. Thinking about the Copic case which sells at about $100...I'm like...with my $100 I can have 15-20 Copic Sketch Markers (depending where I buy them).

Then I found this one from The Container Store.  It can fit 6 tall cups/inserts and it's tall enough for Copic Sketch Markers. The tall cups are sold separately. All in all, I paid $21 (tax included).
So here's how my Copic Sketch Markers are stored now.

I placed some black foam boards just to divide the colors and make it easier to find.

This is how it looks when it's closed.

For those who are in search of a budget storage for their Markers, why not try this!

Thanks for dropping by!

My First CHA 2012

July 16-19 was the Summer CHA 2012 here in Chicago.  I was so happy to be part of Magnolia and be one of the exhibitors at the booth.  At the booth, I was with John and Barbro, owners of Magnolia who were one of the sweetest couples I met. I also met a lot of nice people, some whom I have just know in blogland.  This was my first CHA and I have learned alot.

CHA Day 1
Lesson # 1. Never ever wear 3 inch heels on the first day of CHA.
Lesson #2: Don't let your hair down when it's 100+ degrees.
It was so hot and humid (outside) and my hair could NOT handle it. My hair got soooo frizzy, and as soon as I got inside the convention center, I got sued by "Medusa" for identity theft!

CHA Day 2
Lesson #1: Do NOT repeat the same mistakes from CHA day 1!

Overall, My CHA experience was awesome. Most of the time I spent it chatting with John and barbro who were such wonderful people.

So, here was the Magnolia Booth

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
These are the other booths that I took pictures of. I was hesitant to take close up photos because some of the exhibitors didn't allow pictures taken of their products especially those that are still to be released.
