Tilda with Apple Wreath

CLICK on the image below or scroll down for the
CardMaker and The Twinery Blog Hop

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Hello and Happy Monday!
I don't know about you guys, but in my neck of the woods, it's already winter. Seemed like fall lasted only for a few weeks. We are in the low 20's here (with a wind chill of 2 below 0)
Ain't that somethin'!

Anywho...my inspiration card for this week is also my Magnolia Design Team Christmas Blog Hop card.  So you can click on the link and join the hop for a chance to win prizes from
Magnolia Sweden.

In the mean time, here's my card.  I used Tilda with Apple Wreath and I colored her using Distress Ink Reinkers.  And I have to admit.  Red is not my favorite color to color.  I find it hard to blend or get the right shade and the ribbon on Tilda's wreath and the apples took my forever to color. I also used the Wooden Sign DooHickey and some Doohickeys from the DooHickey Club #2.

Here's Tilda Up close. I added some Glossy accents to the apples to give it some dimension.

The pull out tag has the Christmas sentiment.

Home Sweet Home

Hi everyone.
I have a CAS card to share with you today.
I used Home Sweet Home,  Little Summer Birds and Bride Bow DooHickey.
The image is colored using Copics and I tried to keep it simple.

A few weeks ago, I went to California for a High School Reunion Concert. I stayed with a friend of mine...a college classmate and dorm mate and I had a wonderful time at her house.
So I'm sending her this card to thank her for spoiling me and making me feel at home.

And, before I forget... Stamp and Create has tons of stamps and items for sale!

Tilda and Filofax

Hello everyone!
I have a "purpley" project to share with you today. I used Tilda with Rose Lace Dress from the Pink Lemonade Collection and I colored her using Copic Sketch Markers. The flowers are from
Wild Orchid Crafts
I made this for someone who really inspired me a few months ago. And she loves purple.
(I'll give some details below)

Here is Tilda up close.

The Store

Stamp and Create has lots of stamps on sale.
The New Wild Orchid Christmas Stamps and Dies are in and are on sale for 10% off.  Some other lines of stamps are  up to 35% off and being discontinued. So grab them while they are still available because when they're gone, they're gone. So be sure to check out the store today.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

If you're wondering why it says "My Purpley Life"...well this is for a sweet lady name Jennifer Reyes and her blog is called My Purpley Life.  I came across here YouTube Channel a few months ago when I was looking for ideas to keep myself organized. My iMac used to be decorated with color-coded post it notes to remind me of appointments, schedules and important info. When I had to clean up and rearrange my craftroom, I lost some of my post-it notes and lost track of a few appointments (bummer!). Then I accidentally saw Jennifer's videos and I was so inspired by the way she decorated her pages. And she mentioned in one of her videos that "a decorated page motivates her to use the planner" (not the exact words).

So I have been using a Filofax Personal Origaniser  for almost 2 months now and I've been posting a few pictures on Instagram. Probably a few of you are already using a planner.  I just joined the band of "planner nerds" lately and it really does help me get organized and keep track of my everyday life.  I use it as a journal, appointment and schedule keeper, and health tracker where I keep track of my blood sugar (yup, I'm diabetic) and the food I eat everyday, blog post reminder and a wishlist keeper. I have not totally moved in the planner just yet but I'm getting there.

This is my 9th week using my Filofax and I thought I would share with you how I decorated this week's pages.

I use 2 different Week on 2 pages.  The first W2P is more of a diary/journal/reminder/things-to-do kinda page.  The second W2P (below) is for my health records, where I keep track of my blood sugar, blood pressure, daily meals and water intake.

And yes, the decorated pages motivates me to use my planner and be accountable to every that I do.

As I said, Jennifer has inspired me with her beautifully decorated pages. And I highly recommend that you watch her videos on how she decorates her pages, her reviews of planners, pens, planner inserts and alot more.

Here I have a list/picture of the things I used to decorate my pages this week.

Stamps: Studio L2E
Versa Magic Spring Pansy
Washi Tape: Michaels
Stickers: Hobby Lobby
Pens: Pilot Juice, PIlot Hi-Tec-C and Uni Style Fit

OK.  Are you still with me? Sorry for the long post. :) I will have another Filofax post by next week and I'm hoping that by sharing my planner pages with you, it'll will keep me motivated. Soon, I will share with you a video on how my planner looks like and how I use it. :)

So that is it for me today.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

SCMC: Summer Fun

Hello Friends!
Once again, it's time for another challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia.
Our Theme for the next 2 weeks is:

SUMMER FUN

When we talk about summer fun, we think of beaches, picnics, vacations, trips, BBQ...and all sorts of fun stuff we get to do during summer. One of my favorite things to do during summer is afternoon bike rides with my hubby and my son. That's why today, my card for this weeks challenge features On The Road Tilda from the Sea Breeze Collection.  I have to admit.  I colored her almost a year ago and I forgot about it.  She was stock in between my 6 x6 pads. I colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers and I really fell in love with her yellow dress. So I added some yellow WOC flowers and a pale grosgrain ribbon with a  dotted bow.

Here's a closer look at Tilda.

Here's the inside of the card.

Now it's your turn! Link up your creations HERE for a chance to win

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope to see you again soon!

Stamp and Create Monthly Challenge: Birthdays

We have a new challenge at Stamp and Create!
For the month of July our theme is:

Birthdays

Easy peasy, right? Most of us card makers make birthday cards for friends and family. So be for you hand/send them the cards, be sure to link up you cards for a chance to win:

For my take on our challenge, I made a birthday tag and I colored Rose Packages
using Copics, as the focal point of the tag. Something simple to add to a gift bag.

Sneaky Tilda

Happy Monday friends!
It has been a crazy-busy for me as school is coming to a close and summer vacation is just around the corner.  I'm trying to catch up with my cards and blog post so I don't have to worry about it during the summer. So far, I have made 6 cards for the SCMC so I'm good til the first week of August
(Yey me!) But I still have a few more cards to make for my "stand by" or reserve file.

So here's another CAS card. Now a days, I'm so hooked into making simple cards with out all the bulkiness of flowers and layered embellishments. Don't get me wrong...I still love making those cards.  I just want to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. Just like how I switch from Copics to Distress Inks...I use them alternately.

Anywhoo...this is Sneaky Tilda from the Animals of the Year Collection. She is one of my faves from this collection. I colored her using Copics. I wanted this card to be flat so it'll be easier to mail.

  Copics used:
Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000, 0000
Hair: E47, 37, 35, 33, 51
Dress/bow: W5, 3, 1, 00 RV29, 25, 23, 21
Shoes: W7, 5, 3, 1, 0
Grass/Flowers: G28, YG25, 23, 17, 67
Background: BG10 (airbrushed)
