Just Magnolia - Edwin with Stolen heart

Ok. I have some exciting news to share!  A couple days ago, I received an email from Bev  from Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar Challenge Blog and she offered me a spot as one of the DTs! Wow, it was such a surprise to me. Most of the DTs of Just Magnolia are those who I really look up to and admire for their talent and beautiful creations.
Now, I am so honored to be part of this group of talented ladies.

So my card today is my first DT card for Just Magnolia and our challenge for this week is
 Buttons & Bows.
Come and join us in our challenge!
~*~*~*~*~*~
Edwin with Stolen Heart is colored with Copic markers. I used some waxed cord to wrap around the DP (which I don't know where I got it from...sorry).  I distressed the edges and stained with Frayed Burlap.  I also used a piece of burlap clothe for the tag. For embellishments, some buttons, charms, lace ribbon and WOC flowers, clip & ticket from Tim Holtz to complete the card.

Heart Daisies

My card for today is made with an image from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection from Magnolia called Tilda's Heart Flowers.  And because the image is a flower, I decided not to embellish it with flowers.  Instead, I paired the card with a mini flower arrangement. I colored the image with Copics, embellished it with lace, ribbons and bows, charms and sticky pearls. I also stitched the edges with my sewing machine.

Challenge:
Ribbon Carousel:  Anything Goes
Divas By Design: Buttons and Bows
Scrapalicious: Flower Power

A closer look at the  image.

Here's the mini floral arrangement.

Tilda with PeonyTails

A beautiful Monday to all! For the last couple days the weather has been so good and so we have been spending a lot of time in the park. Yesterday, my desk was abit lonely because there were lots of garden work waiting for me. Last night, I finally got a chance to finish this card.  I also made a little floral arrangement to go with the card.
I used Magnolia Stamp: Tilda with Peonytails and colored the image with Distress Ink.  All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenge:
Totally Tilda:  Challenge #45 Stitching

This is the inside of the card.  I used the same sketch but used the opposite side of the paper for the layout.

Edwin at the Beach

Hello Stamping friends! I just finish this card (like 10 minutes ago...) that I am going to share with you today.  The image is from the Magnolia Spring Kit.

I colored Edwin with Distress Ink Reinkers. And because I didn't have any beach/ocean background, I just drew a beach-like scene with a distant coconut tree. I also glue some beach sand to look like he was standing on the beach.  Now, my big coconut tree is something I just cut free-hand.

Challenge:

I used buttons for my coconuts :)

Hope you like my card for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Finally, I actually got to finish this card today.  This image is from the latest collection of Magnolia Stamps: Sweet Princess Tilda and I colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers.

Edwin with Airplane

Happy Friday everybody! Wow, it has been a while since I posted here. I haven't done much coloring lately and I think I have deprived myself of that. LOL Earlier this week we had friends from Michigan who came for a short visit and gave them a tour and view of Lake Michigan from our side of the lake (Chicago).  It was fun having them around.

~*~*~*~*~*~
Today, I'm sharing with an easel card with an image from the latest Magnolia Collection called Edwin with Airplane.  When this collection came out, this was the first image that caught my attention. My son, Edriann LOVES airplanes. And this image reminds me of the time when he started his airplane collection.  When he saw the stamp, he wanted me to make a card using this stamp, with no flowers, nothing pink and no girly things...LOL

I used White Liquid Applique for the clouds but I kinda over heated it and burnt it a little bit so I painted over some acrylic paint to make everything white :)

Supplies used:
Distress Ink Reinkers
Magnolia Stamps: Edwin w/ airplane, Log, background
Doohickey Grass
Tim Holtz clip & ticket adage

Have a great Weekend, everyone!

Hugs,
Mae

Stamp & Create DT card

Hi Everybody! I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend!
My internet connection has been so frustrating lately due to some repairs being done in one of the main lines in the subdivision. I am hoping to have a better and faster connection soon.

I didn't get much coloring done yesterday. And today, we had some visitors for Michigan.  A good friend of ours (bestman at our wedding) and his family came for a short visit so we brought them to see our side of Lake Michigan.  The weather was great and the kids had fun too.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Last Friday, I received an email from Lacey Stephens, owner of Stamp and Create. She offered me a spot on the Design Team! WOW!  It is such an honor to be on the team! Stamp and Create was one of my fave webstores.  Thank you, Ladies for making me part of the team.

~*~*~*~*~*~

DEEP PURPLE, BRIGHT GREEN & CREAM

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Other Challenges:
