GDT at Filipino Scrapbookers Challenge Blog

 Hello everybody!
I was requested by Kathleen Hernandez, the creator of Filipino Scrapbookers Challenge Blog to be their GDT for the month of August, and of course I said YES!

As a Filipina myself, I'm so happy and proud to see lots of Filipinos making a mark in the crafting world especially in paper crafts and scrapbooking.

Here's the sketch Kathleen gave me to work with.

For my first card, I used Magnolia's Tilda with Corkscrews from the Once Upon a Time Collection. She is colored with Distress Ink Reinkers.

For my 2nd card, instead of an image, I used stamp from Stempelglede which says

"I treasure your Friendship"

Flowers for both cards care from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used Spellbinders Nestabilties and Magnolia DooHickeys. The other embellishments are from my stash.

A card and a summer sale

 Hello my lovelies!

How's your summer? I hope you are enjoying every minute of it. Here in Chicago, we have temps between 65-80 degrees this week which is my kinda weather.

Today, I have a card for you and there is also a Summer Sale at Stamp and Create. Please scroll down for the sale details and restocks.

For my card, I used Indian Tilda from the Once Upon a Time Collection.  

The Slender Fir Trees are DooHickeys from Magnolia. I know this is more of an Autumn or fall card but I thought I'd share it with you anyway.

I colored the image with Distress Ink Reinkers.

Hello there friends.

I have a card for to share today and a bunch of DooHickeys to feature.

Here, I have Princess Tilda with Ballet Shoes from the Once Upon a Time Collection.

I colored with with my Copic Sketch markers and I used some Frantage around the image.

A book card was  something that I don't usually do, but I really like it. I attached some seam binding at the side to keep the card closed and as an accent as well.

The inside of the card had a gift card holder and I used the Rich Rack DooHickey to make this one. It perfectly fits a regular gift card --exact same size of a credit card.

And here are the DooHickeys I used for this card.

 Today at Stamp and Create with Magnolia we have a new challenge and out theme is

SPRING WITH BUTTONS

For my DT card, I made a Sweet 16 Birthday card.

I made a very girly pink card. I used Tilda in Cotton Dress from the Once Upon a Time Collection. I inked her up with Distress Ink Reinkers and for the creases and folds on her dress, I followed how Zoe colored her dress using Copics. (She posted a photo in FB. I share the link as soon as I find it.)

Here's a closer look at Tilda. I used some Frontage Shabby Pink EP around the edges. The flowers  are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

There is a pull-out Tag for the sentiment and I used Magnolia Designer paper.

Here are are photos of the embellishments.  I made the heart using Frantage Fragments and Crackle Accents.

I used a button to accent the seam binding. And I just love the carriage charm!

Once Upon a Time in Tilda's Town

Hello my lovelies! Are you happy it's finally the end of the week? I sure am! I also wish we will have a nicer weather for the weekend. It has been raining (and flooding) and gloomy lately...but on the bright side, I see green everywhere! I have a pile of cards that needs to be photographed but because of the gloomy weather, I don't have the right lighting for a photograph. Well, I'm used to just natural lighting so I guess I have to wait for Mr. Sun to show up.  OR I need to finally make a
 Light Tent/Box.  My friend Pam has a video tutorial on how to make one... and I think I need to make one.

Anywhooo... we have a new challenge at Tilda's Town. This week our theme is
 ONCE UPON A TIME
I'm pretty sure a lot of you already have a stamp or two from the Once Upon a Time Collection.  They are so adorable! One of my favorite images from this collection is Tilda Longstocking. Just like Pippi Longstocking, she is just the cutest. How many of you still remember the Pippi Longstocking movie? I was in grade school when it came out and I loved it!  And I think it was nice of Pauline to draw a Tilda based on Pippi Longstocking because to me, Pippi is a fictional  Swedish character. Well, the author of Pippi Longstocking books was Swedish...  so I just assumed.

Now on to my card.
I colored Tilda using DIs (as usual... but I really need to go back to my Copics soon!) The shades of lilacs, purples and lavenders has been my favorite lately and I enjoyed playing with the colors.

Here's a closer look at Tilda.

The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I painted them with some gesso.

I played with some Frantage Color Fragments and some Crackle Accents and I love the result!

For the inside of card, I made it simple with butterflies and the Corner Die.

Sadly, this is going to be my last post as a Tilda's Town DT.  Tilda's Town Challenge will be a year old next month and I am so proud and honored to be part of this wonderful Design Team for a year.  I will miss all the girls on the team especially Pam, our DT leader and team coordinator who is the best and I'm sure all the other TT DTs will agree with me. :)
