SCMC Fall: Feather or Leaves

Hello there!
We have a new challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia.
The theme is:

Use a Fall Themed image and add either Feathers or Leaves to your card
What do we consider a Fall image?:
Back to School, Leaves, cooler weather, windy, brooms, Halloween, "Thanksgiving"(American and Canadian holiday but is often a time of giving thanks), Birthdays. Colors are usually darker: Orange, Brown, Purple, Red, etc...

Prize:
Stamp and Create carries a wide range of Magnolia stamps at some of the lowest prices!

Here's my card for this challenge. I used Autumn Tilda with Broom. I colored this image a year ago but it never made it into a card. Last week, as I was cleaning my craft drawers, I found it! I colored a bit different a year ago so I might color this image again and compare. :) but for now, I'm happy to share this simple card with you.

OK, so now, it it you turn to link up your creations with feathers or leaves to

Stamp and Create Monthly Challenge: Die Cut

Hi there friends.
I apologize for a late post. We (hubby, my son and I) are in Wisconsin as of the moment. We are celebrating our 16th Wedding Anniversary and my hubby's birthday. We just wanted to get away from our daily busy lives even just for a few days and spend it together and have some family fun.

Anywhoo... we have a new Challenge this month at
Stamp and Create.
And our theme for the month of April is:
Now that is one easy theme, right?
For my project this month, I decorated a paper bag.

I used Tilda with a Gift for You from the Turning Leaves Collection.  DooHickey Dies used are: Bloomy TagCloud and Flag, Dragonflies, and Romantic Lace. The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I colored Tilda using  Copic Sketch Markers. And I colored her up like between October and November last year and I totally forgot to  use her in a project.

You have until the end of the month to join our challenge for a chance to win
So link up your creations and don't forget to link back to us!

Have a wonderful day!

Just Magnolia: Pearls & Diecuts

It's Friday once again and we have another challenge at Just Magnolia.
This week our theme is

Use any die and add some pearls on your creations/card.  Today, I have a tag and I used Tilda with Daisies and Mushrooms from the Turning Leaves collection. A couple weeks ago, I used the same image but colored it with Distress Ink Reinkers.  This time I colored Tilda with my Copics. I colored this maybe 3-4 weeks ago. I was (and I still am) working on how to color hair with strands/texture... (or what ever they call it) Anyway, I was happy so far with the result but I know I still have to do major fine tuning on my coloring
The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The colors I used for this tag was inspired by one of the flowers on the project.  It's the flowers next to the chrysanthemums. The mixture of yellow and pink made me think of pink lemonade which is my favorite.  I also used a  Rectangle Doily Die from Lifestyle Crafts and a Magnolia DooHickey Vintage Tag.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts (retired, I think)

The branch and the leaves were cut using Cheery Lynn Dies
Now, it's time to pop over to Just Magnolia to see sore inspiration from my team mates. Then, link up your creations and don't for get to link back to us for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor!

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thank you for visiting and have a safe weekend!

Sewing Box

Hi friends! I'm sorry I've been MIA for a while.
Today, I want to share with you a sewing box I made to store my Gutermann threads which I use for my sewing machine and for hand stitching.

I used Tailor Tilda and colored her with Copics. The Beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace and seam binding are from my stash. I got this paper mache box from Joann's Crafts.  I wrapped the box with Magnolia DP and edged the lid with lace.
I used an Oval Nestabilities and distressed it, used some cheese clothe painted with antique white acrylic paint. Some tiny wooden spools with ribbon and twine were added to finish it off.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Tiilda's Town: Choose Your Passion (CAS or F&F)

Another Friday has come and we have a new challenge at Tilda's Town.
This week our theme is:
And for my card, I have a CAS (clean & simple) card. This is my first (I think...) CAS card and I actually had to restrain myself from adding flowers, pearls, bling and more flowers.
This is Tilda with Corn from the Turning Leaves Collection and I colored her with Copics.  The DP is also from Magnolia, from the same collection.
I stamped the image with Memento London Fog that's why the outline is a bit lighter and I had to darken her eyes with a Copic Multiliner.

Ok, now pop over to Tilda's Town for more inspiration from my teammates. Then, link up your creation/card and link it back to us for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate from Tilda's Town.

Have a great weekend!

Tilda's Town: Autumn Scene

We have new challenge theme at Tilda's Town today. This week, our theme is:

Fall/Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves turn into an array of gorgeous colors and the heat of summer dies down. My card today features Tilda with broom from the Turning Leaves Collection.

For the last 2 weeks, I have been playing with Copics and set aside my DIs for a while because of an accident...well, I spilled water on my table and I messed up some papers. Ugh!  LOL

Anywhooo, you might have noticed Tilda's hair. This is my first time to color hair this way.  And I know I need alot more practice to get it right.  But for now, I'm good with this one. :)

For more inspiration for your Autumn Scene, pop over Tilda's Town to see my teammates creations.

Turning Leaves

Hello everybody! I hope y'all are enjoying the summer or whatever is left of it!
I'd like to share some photos of the new Magnolia Ink Magazine Turning Leaves.  I got this in the mail two days ago, and I've been doing my happy dance since then. My cheeks are hurting from having this smile (crazy grin LOL) on my face.

This is the first time for me to have my projects published as part of the design team! (I had 1 project published when I won one of the Magnolia Ink contests.) I'm so excited about this issue and it makes me really proud to be part of the team. I still consider myself as a newbie...not only with Magnolia, but also with crafting, stamping, card making, and coloring as a whole.  It was September last year when I tried  stamping and everything just went on from there. And I'm really really thankful!

Back to the magazine...
The card on the cover is made by Debbie Dolphins.
On pages  30-31, you will find my Autumn Fun banner.
My Autumn Wind Shaker card  is on page 40.

Thank you so much for following me and for visiting my blog, for your lovely comments  and words of encouragements.  You have been an inspiration to me from the day I started blogging.
And again, from the bottom of my heart

THANK YOU!

Just Magnolia: Back to School

School buses, backpacks, pencils and crayons, notebooks and binders, scented erasers and cute lunch boxes... Yes, school's back! And today at Just Magnolia, our theme for this week's challenge is:

BACK TO SCHOOL

For my DT project, I made a topper for an old notebook.  I used Tilda with Pencils from the Turning Leaves Collection and colored her with Distress Inks Reinkers. I used MFT Die-namics Mini Pennant for the "subjects", distressed the edges with DI and hand written using Spica pens. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Now, head over to the JM blog for more inspiration from my teammies.

Have a great day!

Mae
