Happy Birthday Tilda

The card I'm gonna share with you today has most of my favorite colors. It took me a while to color Tilda because I was wondering what to do with her hair. Coloring curly hair is one of my problem areas. I have to decide where the dark and light areas should be.  But practicing REALLY  helps.

I watched/read alot of tutorials about shading around the image and that "line" on Tilda's face. It does give her some sort of facial features to add to her facial expression since she does not have a mouth. The tutorial I read were using Copic markers but I tried to use Distress Inks and it seemed to work for me. I stitched the edges using my sewing machine except for one piece that I just distressed and stained.
