CCDesigns October 2013 Preview Day 1

Hi friends.

This week, we are previewing the October Stamps from CC Designs. And for today, I have Rodney and Christmas with Ralphie. I also used Joyful Greetings sentiment set.

Fall - My Favorite Things

Fall Themed image/card plus use your favorite embellishments, papers, colors, etc..

My card for you today features Gucci Tilda from the Sea Breeze Collection. I know she is not a fall image but I used warmer colors to have an Autumn feel to the card. (and I hope it did justice!) I made a pull out tag for the sentiment/message  because it has been my favorite lately.

And my favorite things in this card is the Designer Paper and the seam binding (and the die, the clay, the flowers, the image, the charm...)...well, it's hard to pick just one!

I colored her using Distress ink Reinkers and I added some Frantage around the image.

SCMC Fall: Feather or Leaves

Hello there!

We have a new challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia.
The theme is:
 

Fall Feathers or Leaves
 

Use a Fall Themed image and add either Feathers or Leaves to your card

What do we consider a Fall image?:

Back to School, Leaves, cooler weather, windy, brooms, Halloween, "Thanksgiving"(American and Canadian holiday but is often a time of giving thanks), Birthdays. Colors are usually darker: Orange, Brown, Purple, Red, etc...

Prize:

Stamp and Create carries a wide range of Magnolia stamps at some of the lowest prices!

Here's my card for this challenge. I used Autumn Tilda with Broom. I colored this image a year ago but it never made it into a card. Last week, as I was cleaning my craft drawers, I found it! I colored a bit different a year ago so I might color this image again and compare. :) but for now, I'm happy to share this simple card with you.

Weekly Candy and Challenge Reminders at Stamp and Create

Hello everybody!

My post is a bit late today. I've been driving hubby around...to his post-surgery doctor's appointment (4 doctors scheduled today, in different clinics!), laboratory tests ...and doing my daily school runs, errands, groceries, post office.... And boy, am I wiped out!

 

Anyhoo, before  we get to my card, I have 2 challenge reminders.  This month of September at Stamp and Create, our monthly challenge theme is

Our Challenge started a week ago but since I was not able to post a card for the challenge (hubby was still at the hospital that time), I am making up for it.

Thanks for dropping by my blog today.  I have not been around lately due to hubby being in the hospital for a week, then recovering at home for a week. CCDesigns September Release Preview Days 1,2 and 3

Hello friends! Boy, am I super late in my postings!

Well, last week has been a rough week for me and my family. My husband was rushed to the ER Tuesday at noon and he had surgery on Thursday and Friday. So running from home to school (drop off my son)...then to the hospital (take care of hubby) and to school again in the afternoon to pick up my son...then back to the hospital (do homework while working as a private nurse)...then go home at 7pm .... was pretty much how last week went by for me.  Thank goodness for the long weekend.

Good news is, my hubby Sam is finally home.  Still a bit weak and still has some pain from the incisions, but he said he'd recover faster at home than staying longer in the hospital. So my work as a private nurse continues.

Anyway, I missed 2 days of CC Designs' September Release Preview.  So Today, I have 3 cards for you to make up for being MIA.

For Preview Day 1, we featured all Autumns Stamps.

I used Playful Henry stamp and Mini Alpha & Numbers Die.

For Preview Day 2, all Pirate Stamps were previewed so I have used

Pirate Twila Webby Words Pirate Sayings

For Preview Day 3, we have all Circus Stamps. And I have used Clownin Around together with

Amy R Circus Sentiments Banner Tag Die.
